Take-a-Chance is a major fundraiser for HHS that allows us to preserve and share history. Dollars raised support operations and offerings of HHS including: stewardship of the 1840 Schoolhouse and Barn Museum; Skinner House rent; and website, curator, and student lesson expenses.

Much appreciation to the many local business for donating generous gift certificates which you can win! Many thanks to our sponsors: Thomaston Savings Bank (2-Star) & Torrington Savings Bank (1-Star). We so appreciate the generosity of the businesses/banks and hope they will earn your support.
